WEC Monza 2023

The 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) round at Monza, held on 9 July, was one of the most thrilling races of the season. The famous Autodromo Nazionale hosted the sixth round of the championship, drawing a huge crowd of fans and staging a high-intensity contest. The powerful Hypercars dominated the track, treating spectators to a race fought right down to the final lap. The Toyota GR010 Hybrid secured a crucial victory, with Sébastien Buemi, Ryo Hirakawa and Brendon Hartley triumphing thanks to flawless strategy and perfect management of race pace. Ferrari, however, showed real competitiveness with the 499P, finishing second and giving the home crowd something to dream about. With its fast straights and technical corners, Monza brought out the best in both cars and drivers, forcing them into a constant balancing act between speed and precision.
