On 2 October I followed Samuele Del Gaudio, a Motorsport Performance Academy driver, during the Kateyama test at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, at the wheel of Formula 4 car number 3.
A full day at the Temple of Speed, from the morning preparation in the garage to the last run of the afternoon: pit-lane exits, passes through the Parabolica, debriefs with the staff between sessions, tyres ready for the next run.
Details that tell the story
More than faces, it is the details that tell this day: the helmet reflected in the mirror, the name on the halo, the blue MPA livery with the Gruppo Del Gaudio logo, the car mirrored in the garage windows. And then the speed, with long pans down the straight and Monza's warm afternoon light.
